Today: Continue in Unit 6.

Session 1: Look at the picture on p. 109. You can see the video for this here:

The part where she licks the frog from about 2:20, so I suggest you watch from the beginning until this point. After this, most of the video is about insects.  How does she test whether the frog has toxins? She says one word; what is it? Even if the frog is toxic, she doesn't die. Why?

Do p. 109, B; Do p. 110, C.

Session 2: Do p. 111, A; Read pp. 112/113; Do p. 114, A. The video for the Chimp Haven is here. You can just skip through it quickly.

Session 3: Do p. 114, B, C and D.

Thursday, October 8th, Eigo Kiso 4, 9:00-10:30 and 10:40-12:10 (Class #2)

Today: Continue in Unit 6

Session 1: Do p. 66, A (remember to add 's' for plural), and B. (The first answer in B for 'focus' seems to be a printing error.) Do p. 67, D. (Use the same pattern as #1. I can't ask everyone, so discuss and make your answers the same.)

Session 2: We will do session 2 together. Please look at p. 70 while you are waiting.

Session 3: You will do session 3 individually. You do not have to work in a group. By yourself, choose 1 from p. 68 Before You Watch. (I mean 1 or 2 or 3.) Make a 30 second presentation on your topic, and when you are ready, come back and give it to me. You do not have to wait for the other members of your group to finish. (Try to use 'can' and 'can't' at leas once each in your talk.

Finish.

Remember to work in a group, as you did in the first semester.

Session 2. Jump forward to p. 84 and read the paragraph 'Royalty in Your Garden.' Then go back to p. 81 and finish Ex. 1. There are three blank boxes the chart. Write something in those blank spaces. (#6 is a bit difficult.)
